In celebration of National Jazz Appreciation Month, the Darcy Hepner Quartet performs at the Red Hill Branch. A seasoned performer and an accomplished composer and arranger, saxophonist Darcy Hepner has worked with such legendary figures as B.B. King, Aretha Franklin, Sergio Mendes Tony Bennett, Mel Tormé and Henry Mancini. Darcy has recorded and performed with the Berlin Contemporary Jazz Orchestra, Cowboy Junkies, Grammy-winning guitarist Larry Carlton, Tom Wilson’s Lee Harvey Osmond, as performer/arranger for Ian Thomas's symphonic recording A Life in Song and since 2017 as producer/conductor/arranger for the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra’s Beatles shows. Taking its name from the historic Red Hill Creek area, the Red Hill Branch opened in February 1969. The Branch moved to its current location in the plaza in 1983. To meet the demands of the growing community, it was renovated in 2000.
