Barton - Program Room

Knit for a cause and earn volunteer hours.

Grades 9-12 students knit a scarf, hat or mittens for a cause and earn volunteer hours. Supplies provided, though participants may bring their own.

Please register as a volunteer by filling out the application form on the teen volunteer page of our website or by emailing volunteer@hpl.ca.

About the library

Opened in May 1908, Barton Branch was first in the Hamilton Public Library system. The Branch occupied several permanent and temporary locations over the next 50 years, before it moved to its present location in November 1963. Barton Branch was most recently renovated in 2011.
