In celebration of National Jazz Appreciation Month, the Darcy Hepner Quartet performs at the Barton Branch. A seasoned performer, and an accomplished composer and arranger, saxophonist Darcy Hepner has worked with such legendary figures as B.B. King, Aretha Franklin, Sergio Mendes Tony Bennett, Mel Tormé and Henry Mancini.
Darcy has recorded and performed with The Berlin Contemporary Jazz Orchestra, Cowboy Junkies, Grammy winning guitarist Larry Carlton, Tom Wilson’s Lee Harvey Osmond, as performer/arranger for Ian Thomas symphonic recording A Life in Song and since 2017 as producer/conductor/arranger for the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra’s Beatles shows.
Joining Darcy will be Nancy Walker on keys, Paul Intson on bass and Joel Haynes on drums. This concert is generously funded by the Hamilton Musicians' Guild.

Opened in May 1908, Barton Branch was first in the Hamilton Public Library system. The Branch occupied several permanent and temporary locations over the next 50 years, before it moved to its present location in November 1963. Barton Branch was most recently renovated in 2011.
