Hamilton Public Library supports local artists, artisans and organizations by providing free exhibition space.
The News uses newspapers in different languages, including Japanese, Gaelic, Arabic, Vietnamese, Urdu and more, as the foundation for a series of collages. Words combine with hand-painted, drawn and cut images that represent conversations with new Hamiltonians from various cultures and countries. Visually pleasing, with swaddled babies as a focal point, the work is family friendly and inclusive. Babies are a safe symbol; no matter where in the world they enter, newborns love and trust unconditionally. This series is a testament to rich culture and fond memories - a visual representation of the deep roots that inform our lives.
