A free tax service for those with a modest income and a simple tax situation. Drop off in person at designated branches during specific dates and times only.
Submit your tax documentation to Tax Squad Volunteers at either Red Hill, Terryberry or Central during designated hours. Volunteers will complete your tax return off-site and you will be notified by the library when it's ready to pick up. Please complete and submit the Client Tax Information Form with your documents. Branch Staff can print this for you.
A personal tax preparation service available at no charge for individuals who are eligible:
One-person family: $35,000
Two-person family: $45,000 (combined) or less
Three-person family: $47,500 (combined) or less
Four-person family: $50,000 (combined) or less, plus $2,500 for each additional person
Not for individuals who are: self-employed; have business or rental income and expenses; capital gains or losses; employment expenses; have interest income greater than $1,000; filed for bankruptcy or; are deceased. Presented by Tax Squad volunteers.
Taking its name from the historic Red Hill Creek area, the Red Hill Branch opened in February 1969. The Branch moved to its current location in the plaza in 1983. To meet the demands of the growing community, it was renovated in 2000.
