Author, activist and books columnist Jael Richardson kicks off Hamilton's annual weekend literary festival. Jael's debut novel is Gutter Child, a dystopian story of courage and resilience. She is also the artistic director of the Festival of Literary Diversity (FOLD), the books columnist on CBC Radio’s q, and an outspoken advocate on issues of diversity.
