In celebration of National Jazz Appreciation Month, Ron and Jules Duo perform at the Sherwood Branch. Ron and Jules is an acoustic duo originating from Hamilton. Vocals by Julie Wurtele and Ron Palangio. Ron Palangio is a veteran Jazz Guitarist from the Hamilton area and Julie Wurtele is an artist and vocalist originally from England who now makes Flamborough her home. They play a wide range of popular covers from Adele, KT Tunstall, Stevie Wonder, Beatles, Tracy Chapman and everything in-between. Learn more about the history of jazz and the Hamilton Musicians' Guild at hamiltonmusicians.org.

About the library

The Sherwood Branch was opened as a storefront in a small plaza on Upper Ottawa Street in November 1966. In 1981, the Branch expanded and eventually moved to a larger and brighter facility in June 1991. Sherwood Branch was most recently renovated in 2010.
